Locomotive .. with Scrap FX

Phew! I did it! I survived the latest release at Scrap FX .. Steampunk. My heart sank and then stopped beating when I heard the latest release was going to be Steampunk. I just don't do Steampunk. It turns out I do! LOL! Well, not what I'd call typical Steampunk, but I was able to work with, what turned out to be, a very versatile range of designs. Dare I say I even enjoyed myself (once my heart started beating again)?!!!

Scrap FX products used include .. 1.8mm chipboard 12x12" as my base, Bag of Letters, mini, Number Border stencil, small, Construction Collage, Rivet Beams large and Rivet Beams small.

I really, really, really enjoyed creating this layout. The background was so much fun! Doesn't the Number Border stencil look amazing done in the texture paste with the water colours washing over it? And those Rivet Beams? I'm in love. I'm looking forward to using them again when I do layouts of the city of Chicago, and then again when I scrap our house being built. Even just as a funky border or trim. They are just so versatile!

Anyways I could go on and on forever but won't LOL! I'll be back tomorrow to go on and on with my second layout for Scrap FX, again using new products from the Steampunk range though, so stay tuned!
