Scrapbook Savvy Cyber Crop .. Sketch challenge

Last weekend Scrapbook Savvy held their end of month cyber crop. Ordinarily, I try to do all the challenges because, well, why not? As it was, I was pushing to get just the one done after completing some outstanding design work. I'm thrilled with the layout I did manage to do (for the sketch challenge), and look forward to Scrapbook Savvy's next cyber crop at the end of this month.

Smokey

I've used just a few D-lish Scraps embellishments .. a PVC DoilyFlair Buttons from the Pretty Kitty and Monochrome Patterns (mint) packs, a Resin Heart from the Heart Cabochons Grab Bag, a large Resin Rose from the Large Resin Rose Grab Bag, Resin Forget Me Nots from the Forget Me Nots Grab Bag, a white Silk & Organza Mini Heirloom Flower, a resin butterfly from a discontinued Just Add Paper Kit, sequins from the sadly now out of stock Peach Cooler Just Add Paper kit, and Freckled Fawn Wood Chips (birds).

Amongst my D-lish Scraps products I have also used some tulle. Its not yet available in store but I begged and begged, and begged some more (LOL) to be given some to play with. On this layout all I've done is cut a strip and tie a bow. Its super soft and subtle and adds another layer and a little more texture without overpowering the rest of the embellishment cluster.

Here's the sketch we used. Pretty easy to interpret. Although instead of having the borders on the edges of my layout I decided to use my sewing machine to sew a messy border around the whole layout, which I then coloured in where the 'gaps' were with a white pen.

Scrapbook Savvy has been an 'institution' amongst the Australian online scrapbooking community and sadly, is currently for sale. Unfortunately Sarah finds herself in a position where her life no longer allows her to provide the commitment to the store it deserves. If you or someone you know is looking for a business to buy which you can run from home, has an established customer base, and is well known and respected amongst the scrapbooking community, please contact Sarah via the store or FaceBook.

Anyways, thanks for the inspirational sketch challenge Sarah.   :)
