For the first time in a really, really long time I got to scrap on the weekend. Its not so much that the opportunities to scrap haven't been there as I haven't really wanted to scrap. I don't want to jinx myself lol but I think I can feel the mojo starting to creep back in. Which would be a good thing. Getting back into the scrapping thing after several months away, I wasn't sure where to start so decided to hit up some of my old favourite challenge blogs and hope for inspiration in the shape of a sketch or two. I found just what I needed at Show Us Your Stuff.
Our puppy, Harry, who just turned one, has special needs, leaving him with an uncertain future. He has just turned one and I felt a strong pull to scrap photos of him this weekend. This was one that was far too adorable to pass up. Its his first day with us after having picked him up the night before. He's had a bath and smells heavenly, looks too cute for words, and has stolen our hearts, all before lunch time.
Some close ups ..
I've flipped the sketch and instead of using tags, have used cut out ephemera. I've altered the placement of my title and primary embellishment, a Charms Creations heart, but I think you can definitely still the sketch in my layout.
I found this sketch a delight to work with. It had enough structure to keep me guided, and inspired, but enough freedom to allow for 'artistic interpretation' (lol). If you think you'd like to work with this sketch, why not give the Show Us Your Stuff February challenge a go? One thing though, remember you have to use a handmade embellishment on your layout.
Happy scrapping peeps!
