Scrapbooking From Scratch - April Colour challenge

I recently discovered a fabulous new (for me anyways) store .. Scrapbooking From Scratch who specialise in designer scrapbooking kits and running several retreats in New South Wales and Victoria every year. Unfortunately for me, one of the Victorian retreats was back in March and the other one, in September, is booked out.

Anyways Scrapbooking From Scratch also hosts three challenges each month .. a colour challenge, a sketch challenge, and a quote challenge. You can find all their challenges HERE. The colour challenge this month was red and brown (or kraft) with a touch of black and white.

Love

I had a lot of fun with this LO. It came to me in a dream. I know, that sounds weird right? LOL! But once upon a time inspiration always used to come to me in my dreams. To the point where I had to keep a sketchbook and pencil on my bedside table. If I couldn't sleep I'd often lie in bed just drifting and LO titles and/or journaling would start forming in my mind. Sometimes I'd wake up in the middle of the night or in the wee hours of the morning with the image of a LO in my head and I'd quickly scribble out a sketch. This 'dreamtime inspiration' hasn't happened for a long, long time. But it happened again last night so guess where I'm headed? Yep, back to my studio!

  1. Alz, this is gorgeous. You know what I am the same. When I was doing patchwork-years ago- I always had a notepad on my bed side table because my best ideas came in my sleep, I would always forget them if I didn't jot them down. It was always fun reading my notes in the morning.I tend to remember my dreams now so don,t have the notebook as much theses days.
