D-lish Scraps .. Adore u

I'm sharing a fun, bright and colourful page I created a couple of weeks ago when my girlfriend Sandy was here for the weekend. As per usual we scrapped up a storm. This is just one of the layouts I did. I'll share another soon.

Adore u

As I have mentioned in my D-lish Scraps post HERE I've used a lot of D-lish Scraps embellishments when creating this layout including .. various Washi Tapes, a flag from a Flag & Flair Pack which I covered in washi tape, Cotton Twine, Flair Buttons from two different packs, Freckled Fawn Dew Drops (both enamel and arrows), a Vellum Bag, Paper Roses in both mini and small, a Freckled Fawn Paper Clip, a red Azalea, white Daisies which I highlighted with a little Tim Holtz Distress Stickles in Clear Rock Candy, Polka Dot Heart Buttons, retro dot Resin Buttons and Freckled Fawn Wood Chips (birds). Phew LOL!

If this layout looks familiar its because I scrap lifted myself again. I found another kit left over from when I went to e2c and figured I might as well scrap with it! Its really very similar to the original layout (you can find that HERE) with just a few subtle variances and obviously a different colour scheme. Now I have two new favourite layouts!!!

Whatever you're up to, and I hope its managing to fit in some scrapping time, I hope you're having fun.   :)

D-lish Scraps .. the final instalment from e2c

I love all the layouts I created at e2c but I think this one might be my favourite ..

A time to remember

As with the other four layouts I created at e2c this one was also made with D-lish Scraps embellishments. You can find all the details and read a little more about this layout on the D-lish Scraps blog HERE.

Of the five layouts I scrap lifted, I think this one has turned out the least like the one I was working with. What do you think?

published in Creating Keepsakes Vol. 18 Issue 6

I think (it feels like such a long time ago) I selected Soft Kitty for scrap lifting because of the vintage photo. Plus I liked all the white space. LOL that's about where the white space ended. There's not a whole lot of it on my final layout but I'm thrilled with it nonetheless. I hope my dad will be too.

Anyways that's it for me and e2c except to say .. look out for layouts of my 10 day road trip soon to be heading your way. I had such a fun and inspiring time away and have a lot of photos (at last count 1,364 photos of my own LOL!!!) to sort and scrap. Unlike previous holidays I do not want to wait for the perfect time to scrap them. That time is now!!!

I hope you've enjoyed my 'scrap lifting yourself' series and look forward to bringing more of that 'series' to you in the future. In the meantime, if I've inspired to you to have a go at scrap lifting yourself I'd love it if you would share your work with me!

See you again soon.   :)

D-lish Scraps - Instalment No. 2 from e2c

I'm back today with my second layout from e2c ..

Love this face

I created this layout with lots of D-lish Scraps embellishments. You can find all the details and read a little more about this layout on the D-lish Scraps blog HERE.

Meanwhile, do you remember yesterday I mentioned I had a plan of attack so to speak for packing for this retreat? I decided to scrap lift myself. I looked through photographs of my layouts on my Mac over the past couple of years and printed the ones that jumped out at me. I paired the printed layouts with photos, grabbed whatever cardstock and/or patterned paper would work and threw it all in a 12x12 zip lock bag with co-ordinating embellishments. I made a note on my printed layout of the mixed media products I needed and packed them separately in zip lock bags of their own for protection. Then whilst at retreat all I had to do was grab one of my kits and the mixed media items I needed, have a look at my printed layout and then go from there. Of all the layouts I created, this particular layout most closely resembles the original layout I scrap lifted ..

Life is good

This layout was also created with lots of  D-lish Scraps embellishments. You can find all the details HERE. Pretty cool huh?! By the way I couldn't share the layout I scrap lifted for my layout Friends (see HERE) as its out for publication. But over the coming days I will endeavour to share the scrap lifted layouts with you so you can see how much or little inspiration I took from them and perhaps have a think about whether you might try doing this yourself.

I'll be back tomorrow with Instalment No. 3.   :)

D-lish Scraps .. Instalment No. 1 from e2c

As mentioned yesterday, I managed another five layouts whilst at e2c!!!

In the past I've been to retreats where I've created a watercolour background over a three day period and that is all I have done because I've never known what to pack. This time around I had a plan .. and it worked!

Friends

I created this layout with lots of D-lish Scraps embellishments. You can find all the details and read a little more about this layout on the D-lish Scraps blog HERE.

I'll be back with Instalment No. 2 tomorrow.   :)

PS: More on my 'plan' for packing for retreats in a day or so ..
