Scrapbook Savvy Cyber Crop .. word challenge

So it turns out that my colour challenge layout (see HERE) for the Scrapbook Savvy Cyber Crop was not my last! I managed to complete the final two challenges in time for the midnight deadline on Wednesday. It may seem a tad silly (or not) but I'm buzzing to have completed all the Cyber Crop challenges.

This layout was for the word challenge .. "crazy". At first I was thinking of titles like "a wonderful kind of crazy" or "a crazy kind of wonderful" but then, whilst I was scrapping, "crazy is as crazy does" just 'popped' into my head . LOL I'm so glad I had that light bulb moment!

Crazy

I wanted the emphasis to be on the three, somewhat busy, photos and so used very minimal embellishments. The gorgeous chipboard hot air balloon was in one of the 57 (or so it seems LOL) goodie bags we received at the e2c retreat, as was the twine. I otherwise used some chipboard and then just a few D-lish Scraps embellishments .. a Flair Button from the Black 2014 Script Words pack, a woodgrain heart from Skipping 5 Puffy Things, a Journal Its from the Chalk Bubble Words pack and some black Motex Tape .. to embellish my page.

All in all I'm pretty stoked with how this layout turned out. I've had a few ideas on combining coloured pencils with templates to achieve a 'sketchy' look for a while and so was glad to have a go at doing so on this layout. I'm pretty happy with the result and look forward to experimenting with it some more.

Thanks yet again for the inspiration Scrapbook Savvy!!!   :)

  1. Lovely page, I like how you've used just a smidge of colour.
