Kraft It Up - September

Another challenge blog I love, love, love and haven't participated in lately is Kraft It Up. No real reason. I suppose I've just been busy and not scrapping as much. LOL I still love scrapping with kraft! September's challenge was to use the following colour palette ..

Not my usual colours. I mean I like green, but that particular hue of green? Not really. But you know how it goes, I had some perfect photos and I was feeling inspired (despite the green!) and this resulted ..

His love conquers all
products used:
cardstock - kraft
patterned paper - Echo Park Yours Truly, Echo Park Times & Seasons, My Little Shoebox Garden Party
alphas - Dymo labeller, TLC Quik Letters rub-on alphabet
embellishments - Making Memories staples, Washi Tape, handmade tag, journaling spot
tools - SU punches, TCW Chevron template
stamps - Cocoa Daisy
messy stuff - texture paste, Archival Ink, StazOn ink, own mist made with TH Distress Ink re-inker (Black Soot) and SU All Purpose Ink (Frost White)

As per usual I went to my 'creative director' for his opinion on my LO. Much to my dismay he doesn't like it!  :O  I know!!! Like so many others, GB doesn't like having his photo taken .. at all! He especially (apparently!) doesn't like this particular photo. Oops! So it's a zero out of ten from GB for this one, but I love it and it is for me so really that's what matters.   :)

  1. I absolutely adore how you've used the chevron pattern in different ways throughout the LO...it gives your page cohesion. This really is a stunning LO! Thanks Alz for having a go at KIU this month!

  3. What a great layout Alz! I love all the chevrons and the photo is great too, I can't see why he doesn't like it.
