Bo Bunny Zip-A-Dee-Doodle

Quite a few months ago Scrapbooking Memories invited me to participate in a Bo Bunny products challenge for the magazine. Of course I was thrilled beyond imagining LOL and jumped at the chance. Then I received the products .. Zip-A-Dee-Doodle .. bold, fun, funky, graphic and lots of patterns.

This was going to be more of a challenge than I had anticipated LOL!!! Of course I didn't receive the entire range but I was asked to use as much of the product sent as possible. Wow this was going to be tough! Not only were the colours and style not what I'd ordinarily work with, but as I move more and more into mixed media I'm using less and less product on my projects. Despite my misgivings I love what I came up with and, over time, its grown on me ..

SO photogenic

This layout is now one of my firm favourites and I've even bought more products from the range! Although I haven't worked with Bo Bunny products in quite some time, you can bet I will in the future.  Thanks for the invitation Scrapbooking Memories .. you really threw me outside my comfort zone and I loved it!!   :)

Guest DT for Studio Fourteen40

I've recently been asked to create some layouts for Studio Fourteen40 using some of their gorgeous, handmade flairs. Studio Fourteen40 are the new kids on the 'flairs block' and they have you so well covered with their gorgeous array of flair collections you'll be spoilt for choice! Studio Fourteen40 prides itself on high quality, hand designed and made embellishments for scrapbooking, card making and pocket page scrapping. Best of all, for me LOL, they are made and designed right here in my little patch of the world .. Melbourne, Australia!

Here is just the first of what I hope will be many layout shares for StudioFourteen40 ..

On this layout I've used flairs from the Girls ReverieNeapolitan and Thrift Shop collections. I love that the designs are so versatile I can mix up the collections for a truly unique look.

I look forward to sharing another layout featuring Studio Fourteen40 flairs (and Bits of Glitz) with you soon.   :)

Kraft It Up - September

Now for something completely different ..

Yoghurt face

I had a lot of fun creating this layout. Something way out of the ordinary for me but playful and, I think, well suited to the photo. Plus it allowed me to indulge in my latest thing for StudioFourteen40 flairs! Thanks to Kraft It Up for a fabulous sketch to work with this month ..

If you "put your skates on" (something my mum always used to say) you still have time to get your challenge layout done. You can find all the details HERE. Thanks yet again for the inspiration Kraft It Up girls!   :)

Black With 2 - September

I am really enjoying the Black With 2 challenges .. I'm enjoying touching base again with a black background. The challenge this month involved a gorgeous bright colour board with lots of flowers as, after all, the first of September is the first day of Spring!

Colour board

I told you it was gorgeous! Oh and yes I see the irony in that I named my layout "Summer" LOL! The beauty of this particular challenge is you can use as many or as few as the colours as you like. Oh and if you're more of a card maker than a scrapper, Black With 2 runs a card challenge as well. Anyways you can find more details HERE.   :)

PS: I'm loving the new flairs from StudioFourteen40!

Once Upon A Sketch - September

I had a lot of fun playing with the sketch and theme (lucky) at Once Upon A Sketch this month. Its rare for me to scrap with more than one photo so having a sketch to work with for this layout was fabulous.

Smitten

sketch by Nadia Cannizzo

I rotated the sketch 90 degrees to the left and shifted the positions of my title and journaling but otherwise I think you can see where I worked with the sketch. I loved its simplicity and the freedom it left to create your own background. I wouldn't mind giving it another go though and next time actually leaving a lot of white space. But in the meantime my mind is spilling over with ideas for more layouts so I'd better keep moving!

If you're interested in giving this challenge a go you can find all the details HERE. Don't forget that you only have until the 25th of the month though!!!   :)

PS: Love the super thin flairs? They're from a new product company which was launched last month .. StudioFourteen40. Their designs are fresh and new and their lack of the usual bulk that accompanies most flairs make them perfect for those who want something a little less bulky in their albums and especially for anyone interested in Project Life. Honestly, you really should check them out. Oh and they have new designs being released soon. Me? I can't hardly wait!!!   :)
