White With 1 - February .. with Sandy

I think I've created a monster LOL! My challenge junkie addiction has worn off on Sandy and she's been at it again .. creating layouts for challenges! This one is for the current White With 1 challenge which is the colour grape ..

In the moment

Isn't her layout beautiful?! I love that she took a seriously ancient piece of Basic Grey patterned paper from the Lily Kate collection and gave it a new lease of life. Sandy white-washed the background, used a permanent marker to outline the parts of the design she wanted to highlight, used gelatos to paint inside the areas she had outlined, finally using a stencil with texture paste, and rub-ons and stamping, to add further layers to her background. Just gorgeous. I tell you, if anyone can scrap a wedding photo beautifully it has to my girlfriend Sandy!!! Thanks again for letting me share this on my blog hon.

    such a beautiful photo, i dont think she needs you to challenge her anymore alz, she has its going on in a big way , i've been painting over old pp to refresh them and you may soon be seeing me using said papers.

    Sandy you know how much I love this LO. I really appreciate that you take the time out of your hectic schedule to scrap these challenges in support of me being on the DT. It means the world to me girlfriend. I hope you get a chance to do March's challenge as well! :)
